Abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy. â€Å"More than 60% of the world’s population lives in countries where induced abortion is permitted either for a wide range of reasons or without restriction as to the reason. In contrast, 26% of all people reside in countries where abortion is generally prohibited.† as stated by The World’s Abortion Laws Map. Abortion is appalling and should be outlawed. Not only is it the excretion of a fetus, what a baby has developed from, from the uterus by natural causes, but you are killing a living organism! A woman is letting someone rip that baby from her body before it has even been able to survive independently and quite frankly, I’m torn. All the struggled women in the world that have given up their baby by ab ortion could have done the best yet second most difficult thing, after abortion, ever and that is giving their child up for adoption. These babies could have filled the deep hole couples have of not being able to conceive their own. â€Å"The percentage of infants given up for adoption in the United States declined from 9% of those born before 1973 to 1% of those born between 1996 and 2002.† The number of US infant adoptions dropped because women were coinciding with abortion. What women all around the world need to realize is the responsibilities and consequences that come with producing a child. The baby should not be punished for a mistake made by adults. Abortion promotes that human life is disposable. Legalizing abortion is sending out a message to everyone that human life has little value. Or that you value your own life more than a baby’s so you can go without having to put yourself through such a traumatic time of having the baby, possibly losing it, adoption, or miscarriages.
